A Newsletter!

I’ve been asked to create a monthly newsletter which I hope to put out on a monthly basis.

If you have anything of special interest or perhaps items for sale, please send an email to [email protected] and put newsletter in the subject line.

Meanwhile, here’s the first newsletter. It’s a bit corny but with a little time and some contributions from others, it will become more interesting.

December 2024 Newsletter
Concrete Restoration –

The concrete restoration is progressing nicely. It’s easy to see things are being done as they should be. Removal of separated stucco, application of bonding primer (which wasn’t done back in the 70s, then new stucco to match the strokes used back in the day.

Most of the separation is from the areas of the poured concrete columns which are substantially smoother than the block used to build walls.

Center Island –

There are quite a few parts to the center island project. New water lines for sprinklers, new electrical connections for lighting and also new connections for the security cameras. That’s a lot of “subs” all trying to coordinate in one trench. We’re almost there as the crew worked quickly to open the trench for new lines and did a great job getting it closed up.

Mansards –

There’s always a fly in the ointment and unfortunately the proper materials for the mansards portion were delayed. The necessary roofing material has arrived and is on site as are trim pieces. Replacement underlayment has also been delivered so hopefully we get to full steam very quickly.

More News –

There are plans for a doggie relief area in Phase One. More info as it becomes available.

The wheels of a bureaucracy move slowly, but hopefully, maybe, someday there will be a BBQ area within Phase One.

How many plug-in electric cars do we have in Phase One? Would EV chargers be worthwhile?

If you want to comment on any of these or other items of interest, simply email the board with your thoughts:
